"Good freshness. Lively with some quite crackling fruit. Long and racy. Dry finish. Pretty good! Serious wine." - Jancis Robinson.

Jonathan Ray of The Telegraph says "Elegant, ripe, yet earthy Cabernet Sauvignon/Cabernet Franc/Merlot blend. It's drinking deliciously now and is a fine match for lamb cutlets and potato salad."
We Say...
The Welsh owners of this mostly organically run vineyard on the beautiful banks of the Garonne have tried their utmost to produce wines which express the best of the well, drained mineral-rich Graves soils. The Graves Rouge is carefully blended from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc and is fruity and smooth with good firm tannins and nice oak. As it ages it will start to show the peppery notes of classic Graves, if you can keep it that long. Drinking up to 2015.
Love it, love it, love it! This is a really robust red, with a lovely deep intense palette. We had the joy of meeting the lovely lady who make this fine wine at the Manchester tasting, we would highly recommend going a long if you have never given these a go!

Not Bad - i'd rate it 3½ if possible
Consistently good, the 2002 and 2003 offered great all-rounder Bordeaux. Serve warm.

The Wine Maker Says...
Name:Sean and Nicola Allison Country:France
The wines from this appellation take their name from the river gravel that covers the entire plateau. This gravel is combined with sand, clay and limestone which all contribute to the uniqueness of the Graves and the characteristic minerality which is expressed in the wines.
The different varieties are fermented individually in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, and then barrel fermented together. The resulting wines are fruity, well balanced with integrated oak flavours and firm round tannins. Additionally, in recent years the wine has developed the peppery characteristics of a classic Graves red. The finished wine is aged in oak for up to 18 month prior to bottling. It is pleasing on the palate, fresh and has a complex aftertaste.
